Right or left of up and down?

“You and I are told we must choose between a right or left, but I suggest there is no such thing as a right or left. There is only an up or down. Up to man's age-old dream -- the maximum of individual freedom consistent with order --or down to the ant heap of totalitarianism. Regardless of their sincerity, their humanitarian motives, those who would sacrifice freedom for security have embarked on this downward path. Plutarch warned, “The real destroyer of the liberties of the people is he who spreads among them bounties, donations and benefits.””
― Ronald Reagan

River Song, the Lovely Alex Kingston

Emma Watson

Just 'cause I love her.
Travel through Italy - Genoa

The first time I went to Italy was 2009. And I was amazed by the country. Its countryside and its old cities.

My first stop was Genoa. I loved it. I arrived by night and enjoyed it. The plan was to leave first thing in the morning, but I just spent some time there walking around and enjoying the city.

Now that I know Italy a lot better (been there in three holidays, 2009, 2011 and 2014), I understand why Genoa is not in tourism lists.

Don't get me wrong, the city is very beautiful! it would be a great destination in any other country but Italy is just special... Genoa is not one of the most beautiful there... :)

Besides writing in this blog, and being paid to socialise in the paying network TSU, I've also been writing on Hub pages. I really enjoy the site and I invite you to read my hubs (and, if you like, to join the network) in THIS link.

I've written 4 hubs until now. All of them in the travel subject and about 4 countries (I'm putting the direct link to each of them):

My journey to $100 at TSU network.

if you haven't yet heard about TSU, it's a social media, similar to Facebook, but instead of keeping all the revenues for themselves they share it with users. 10% it's for the network and 90% for the users. Like this:

But if you are thinking it is a "make easy money online", forget it. As with anything else you need to dedicate yourself, and it takes time.

I started on TSU a  month and a half ago and I had my firs 1 cent 4 days after starting... 20 days after that I had 1 dollar, and 10 days after that (with one month in the network) I had 2 dollars. Now, one month and a half I have more than 6 dollars (the last image I post here with the amount of 5.26 was taken 2 days ago) and I'm making 40 cents a day. So it is growing, just takes time, effort and you can't give up.

I will posting updates whenever I reach certain amounts. And if you like to try it just FOLLOW THIS LINK:

This is the result...

A 23-year-old British man is making headlines for dropping more than $150,000 on plastic surgery and procedures to look like reality superstar Kim Kardashian.
According to The Sun, makeup artist Jordan James Parke has undergone more than 50 cosmetic procedures including Botox, lip-filling surgery, and even getting super-thick eyebrow tattoos in order to look like his 34-year-old idol.
He says he plans on getting a nose job next.

Smoking and drinking during pregnancy
(originally posted on Bubblews)

Do you think pregnant women should be forbidden to smoke and/or drink?

We all know the risks of smoking, for us and for others. But one of the others may be the baby strapped on our belly, no where to go, no word to say. Does that baby have any rights?

I know that in many countries, mine included, a woman may decide to end a life that is forming inside her because she took control of her body (even when another body is depending on hers). But how about when a woman decides she WANTS to have a baby? Should that woman still have the right to do has she pleases and keep on smoking and/or drinking as much as she likes, or is she committing a crime?

How about after birth? If a child is born with severe brain damage due to the fact that her mother was a hard smoker and/or drinker during pregnancy, should that woman be considered guilty of a crime?

What do you think?

Truth Jerks!

(originally posted on Bubblews)

Business man pointing to transparent board with text: Truth or Lies? - stock photo

Nowadays people who tell the truth are, most times, considered jerks.

Since the 1990's people talk about ending welfare as we know it. Some months Netherlands, if I'm not mistaken, announced that their welfare had to be cut and changed.
The UK has been reducing and is trying to reduce even more.
In Portugal a lot of people lost their benefits, and a lot more has to happen for the system to be viable.

But whenever someone says this simple truth "THERE IS NO MONEY!", he is pointed out as being a liar, a jerk, not worrying about people, being insensitive and indifferent to peoples problems.
